Mary Campbell
Board of Directors
Mary Campbell is a Managing Director and Founder of EDF Ventures. She has been an active investor both in healthcare and technology companies for 20 years.
Currently, Mary is on the Board of Directors of several healthcare and technology companies: Quadraspec and Handylab (clinical diagnostics); Lycera (pharmaceuticals); ValenTx (medical devices); IntelePeer, RockeTalk, Sircon, and Vontoo (technology). She also leads EDF investments in Cerenis (pharmaceuticals) and Greenplum (technology).
Mary is also President of the Michigan Venture Capital Association, the State's premier public policy advocate for the venture capital industry. She is active with The Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and currently serves as an advisor to the Zell Lurie Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies as well as its student-run venture activity, the Wolverine Venture Fund. She is an advisor to the University of Michigan's Life Science Institute and is a member of the Steering Committee for the Michigan Strategic Economic Investment and Commercialization Board, a Statewide initiative to foster research and commercialization.
Mary received her MBA from the University of Michigan; her MA in Special Education from Fairfield University; and her BA in English from the University of Michigan.
Robert A. Compton
Co-founder/Vice Chairman
Bob Compton has had a 25 year career creating, financing and managing new technology ventures. He has been an entrepreneur, angel investor and professional venture capitalist in more than three dozen businesses including software, telecommunications, healthcare services and medical devices. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an Honorary Doctorate from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
In addition to Vontoo, Bob is Lead Director on the Board of Directors of Allscripts (NASDAQ - MDRX) and Chairman of the Board at ExactTarget, a leading email marketing company.
Dustin Sapp
Co-founder/President
Dustin Sapp joined Bob Compton in founding Vontoo in 2005. Dustin currently leads Vontoo in developing and driving the company's strategic business direction, as well as managing its day-to-day operations. Dustin graduated with honors from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a degree in Computer Engineering.
As president of the company, Dustin has led the team to a 1,000 percent customer growth in the last year, having gone from 60 clients to nearly 700, and quarter-to-quarter growth over 205 percent.
Prior to starting Vontoo, Dustin was co-founder and director of professional services for NoInk Communications and director of product marketing for Everypath. Dustin participated in the 2004 sale of NoInk to Everypath, a leading mobile software company backed by Trident Capital, Seven Rosen and US Venture Partners. Dustin led the technology integration between SalesAccelerator and the Everypath platform. He left Everypath in 2005 to start Vontoo.
