University collects individuals’ names and contact information at Music for All – Bands of America competition to help recruit prospective students
INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – November 12, 2009 – Vontoo, Inc., leading voice marketing company, announced that its partner, Marian University, is utilizing its newest Text2Voice+ (T2V+) service at the Bands of America Grand National Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium, taking place November 11-14.
In an effort to recruit prospective students to the university’s marching band, Marian University became a program sponsor of the event, at which 90 high school marching bands will compete and 30,000 to 40,000 people are expected to attend. In addition to managing a booth, sponsoring a suite at the stadium, and employing several other promotional vehicles, the university will incorporate Vontoo’s T2V+ product in various communication efforts surrounding the event.
Four 30-second commercials on closed circuit digital monitors and audio public service announcements inside the stadium will incorporate the T2V+ messaging service by announcing to those in attendance the option to opt-in to future communications about Marian University via SMS text message. T2V+ will be deployed to register Bands of America attendees in a contest for an iTunes gift card, a marketing approach that will allow the university to capture names and telephone numbers for prospective students.
Marian University will also take advantage of Vontoo’s voice messaging service, its powerful, trademark communications vehicle, as part of other promotional efforts. A video distribution as well as use of Music for All’s email and USPS lists and newsletter will all incorporate Vontoo voice messages to further connect the target audience with the university.
